The Gypsy Nurse Ambassador Program has been a huge success! I would like to thank all of our current Ambassadors for their time and dedication to helping the community stay strong and grow. Due to our community growth, we are initiating a new Ambassador In Training Program!
The Gypsy Nurse Ambassador’s are charged with promoting and fostering Meet & Greets, Events, Caravan Trips, Support and other gypsy nurse activities throughout the US. The Ambassador’s in Training will pair with one of our current Ambassadors and continue to provide exciting events and activities for the Gypsy Nurse Community.
Meet Your New Gypsy Nurse Ambassadors in Training!
Lori Mercer, RN
Lori has been a RN for 10+ years. She has always worked in Emergency Department. She reports that “I have a wonderful husband Jesse and 2 wonderful kids Clayton 17 and Samantha 14, who stay at home in Ohio while I travel.” Lori is very active with spending time with her kids doing there extracurricular activities and with the local Boy Scout Program in Ohio. She is on her second assignment as a travel RN and cannot imagine going back to a staff nurse.
When asked why she wanted to be a Gypsy Nurse Ambassador, Lori states that “I hope to encourage other nurses and to make an impression on dreamers that you can travel with or without your family. I have a lot of enthusiasm and look forward to working a great bunch of Ambassadors. I love to do things, meet new people, and am looking forward to exploring with other nurses.”

When asked why she wanted to be a Gypsy Nurse Ambassador, Susan stated “As an Ambassador my hope is to enlighten others to the prospect of traveling as an option (the pros and cons, not that there are many cons), To support my fellow travelers/gypsys by being available to answer questions, and get together, see the sights etc.”

Michelle Lane, CNA
Michelle is originally from Baltimore County, Maryland, a suburb area called Essex, where she lived until she was 15. Her family then transplanted to Norfolk, Virginia. Michelle is married to ‘my wonderful husband’ Jay, and they have 2 daughters; Krysta (almost 22), and Kaitlynn (14), Michelle also has an adopted daughter, Natasha (25) and 3 grandchildren. She has worked in healthcare for almost 5 years, and is currently working as a Traveling CNA. Michelle hopes to finish my nursing degree sometime in the near future.
When asked what she hoped to provide as a Gypsy Nurse Ambassador, Michelle states “I hope to contribute in a positive way, meeting and encouraging and helping others to achieve their dreams of becoming a healthcare gypsy! And, if I am able to help other CNA’s to be successful travelers than I am happy with that.”
