Radiology – Cath Lab Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Specialist – Radiology to join our interventional cardiology team. The ideal candidate is a radiologic technologist (RT) with specialized training in cardiac catheterization procedures. This role involves operating imaging equipment, assisting in catheter-based interventions, and ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced cath lab environment.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain fluoroscopy/X-ray equipment during interventional cardiology and vascular procedures.
Assist cardiologists with angiograms, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and other cath lab procedures.
Monitor hemodynamics, ECG, and patient status throughout procedures.
Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
Administer contrast agents under physician supervision and follow radiation safety protocols.
Maintain sterile field and assist with catheter/wire manipulations.
Document procedural details and patient data accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals for seamless patient care.
Qualifications
✅ Education:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
✅ Certifications & Licenses:

ARRT (R) certification (Radiologic Technologist) required.
ARRT (CI – Cardiac Interventional) or ARRT (VI – Vascular Interventional) preferred.
BLS and ACLS certification required (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
State Radiology License (if applicable).
✅ Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab, interventional radiology, or cardiovascular technology preferred.
Strong knowledge of angiographic procedures, radiation safety, and sterile techniques.
