I am a true California native! I attended the University of San Francisco, where I studied Nursing and Neuroscience. My career has led me to working in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), to travel nursing in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, and now to the Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). To be honest, this all still isn’t enough for me. I knew from the start I needed to be more, to do more for not just my patients but pediatric patients all around the world. Early on in my nursing career, I began global mission work. It occurred to me just how special nursing is. I can literally travel anywhere in the world, and the fundamentals of nursing will be the same! So why limit myself to just the bedside?
