This article provided by: Travel Nurse Across America.

Working as a travel nurse on assignment, most of your work hours are spent on your feet.  Knowing which brand of travel nurse shoes are going to give you the most support, cause less aching and just feel the most comfortable is very important.

We recently conducted a poll on our Facebook group asking our members what their favorite brands of travel nurse shoes are.  Below you will find the top 7 brands as voted on by travel nurses, as well as some information and links to learn more about each brand of travel nurse shoes. As you will see running shoes are very popular among travel nurses.  The support that running shoes offers is a huge benefit for travel nurses.

Top 7 Travel Nurse Shoe Brands

  3. Dansko
  4. Asics

Alegria

Alegraia’s line of professional shoes are both stylish and comfortable.  They come in a variety of designs and styles.   Their price tends to be about $130 a pair for women’s and $140 a pair, but can you really put a price on comfort?

They started with what is most important–a patented footbed. The footbed is the secret sauce of the Alegria shoe. What you have is a patented combination of cork, soft polyurethane, and memory foam. Comfort from heel to toe with ample arch support to ensure that every time you slip on your Alegria Shoes, you will feel the customized fit in action.

Next, they developed the second most important factor–the outsole. The outsole of the shoe slopes slightly producing a naturally and anatomically correct walking motion and benefiting wearers by promoting better posture, reducing stress on leg and back muscles and reducing joint and metatarsal pressure.

Hoka One One shoes were created for runners, what better shoes for travel nurses than shoes that were designed for running, because let’s be honest a lot of nursing work is running around and spending time on your feet.  The price of each pair varies depending on the style you choose.
