About the Presenter:

Joseph Smith RRT / EA / MA / MS Tax:

Joseph finished Accounting and Respiratory Therapy degrees and worked as a travel respiratory therapist before founding TravelTax and TravelTax Canada, a tax practice group catering to travel healthcare professionals and mobile professionals in other staffing segments. TravelTax is well known in the healthcare staffing industry, serves a substantial client base of domestic and international mobile professionals, and represents clients before the IRS, Canadian Revenue Agency, and State Tax Agencies in audits and tax controversies. Joseph assists staffing agencies in constructing a compliant travel reimbursement policy and trains recruiters/staff to participate in the agency’s compliance process.  Joseph is a member of the NATHO tax compliance committee.
