Audiology Technician (Traveler) Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Audiology Technician to join our team as a traveler and support our mission to enhance patient hearing health across multiple locations. In this role, you will work closely with certified audiologists to conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and assist in the fitting, programming, and maintenance of hearing aids. You will interact with patients across the lifespan, from infants to elderly individuals, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout testing and treatment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with audiologists to perform a variety of hearing tests and auditory assessments.
• Assist with hearing aid fittings, adjustments, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
• Maintain and update detailed patient records, documenting test results and observations accurately.
• Communicate test findings and relevant patient information to the supervising audiologist for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Educate patients and caregivers on hearing aid care, usage, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment for all patients.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in testing and documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and patience when interacting with patients.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in audiology, is essential.
• Ability to adapt to different clinical environments and travel as required by the role.
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting or audiology is preferred but not required.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare or audiology is a plus.
• Experience in audiology or healthcare support roles is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel to various facilities as a flexible team member.
