We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Behavioral Health Counselor to provide counseling, support, and therapeutic interventions to individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring clients receive the highest quality care to promote emotional and psychological well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Client Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, tailored to clients’ needs.
Counseling Services: Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Crisis Intervention: Respond to client crises, offering immediate support and interventions to ensure safety and stability.
Case Management: Coordinate services and resources, including referrals to community agencies, healthcare providers, or other support systems.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in accordance with organizational and legal standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and educators, to deliver holistic care.
Education & Advocacy: Educate clients and families about mental health conditions and available resources. Advocate for clients’ needs and rights within the healthcare system and community.
Qualifications
Education & Licensure:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Current licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or eligibility to obtain licensure [if applicable].
Experience:
[1-3+] years of experience in behavioral health or mental health counseling.
Experience working with diverse populations and a variety of mental health conditions.
Skills:
