Job Description: Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cath Lab Technologist for exciting travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will assist in cardiovascular procedures, including catheterizations and angioplasties, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires technical expertise, precision, and strong patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and electrophysiology procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for catheterization procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain specialized imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Monitor and record vital signs during procedures.
• Administer contrast media and other necessary medications under physician supervision.
• Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Document procedures accurately and update patient records.
• Travel to various hospitals and medical centers as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field.
• Certification: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a cath lab or interventional cardiology setting.
• Skills: Strong technical, analytical, and patient-care skills.
• Travel Readiness: Willingness to accept travel assignments in different locations.
