Job Summary:\n\nThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential care and support to patients, assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring comfort. The CNA works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.\nMonitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.\nProvide mobility assistance, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients.\nSupport patients with feeding and ensure adequate hydration and nutrition.\nMaintain a clean and safe patient environment by changing bed linens and sanitizing equipment.\nObserve and report any changes in patient conditions to the nursing team.\nAssist nurses with medical procedures and provide emotional support to patients and families.\nAdhere to infection control and safety procedures.\nDocument patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) or paper charts.\nFollow facility policies and state regulations regarding patient care.\n\nQualifications:\nEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.\nLicensure: Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice.\nExperience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.\nCertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.\n\nSkills & Competencies:\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nCompassionate and patient-focused approach to care.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nAttention to detail and strong observational skills.\nAbility to follow instructions and work collaboratively with healthcare teams.\n\nWork Environment:\nHealthcare facility setting, including hospitals, nursing homes, and long-term care centers.\nRequires physical stamina for long shifts, standing, lifting, and assisting patients.\nExposure to infectious diseases and bodily fluids.\nShift-based work, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
