Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential care and support to patients, assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring comfort. The CNA works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Provide mobility assistance, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients.
Support patients with feeding and ensure adequate hydration and nutrition.
Maintain a clean and safe patient environment by changing bed linens and sanitizing equipment.
Observe and report any changes in patient conditions to the nursing team.
Assist nurses with medical procedures and provide emotional support to patients and families.
Adhere to infection control and safety procedures.
Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) or paper charts.
Follow facility policies and state regulations regarding patient care.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensure: Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice.
Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Work Environment:
Healthcare facility setting, including hospitals, nursing homes, and long-term care centers.
Requires physical stamina for long shifts, standing, lifting, and assisting patients.
Exposure to infectious diseases and bodily fluids.
Shift-based work, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
