Job Title: Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist – Traveler
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist to join our team as a traveler. As a Travel EP Technologist, you will work in various healthcare facilities, assisting with electrophysiology studies, cardiac mapping, and device implants. This role requires strong technical expertise and adaptability, providing essential support for diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias in patients.
Key Responsibilities
EP Procedures: Assist in the setup, monitoring, and completion of electrophysiology studies, cardiac mapping, ablations, and device implantations.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for EP procedures, including explaining the process, positioning them, and applying electrodes. Maintain a calming and supportive presence to ensure patient comfort.
Monitoring and Data Collection: Monitor patients’ vitals and electrophysiological signals throughout procedures, recording data accurately and promptly addressing any complications or abnormalities.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate EP lab equipment, including fluoroscopy and recording systems, ensuring proper calibration and functioning. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any technical issues.
Collaboration: Work closely with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare staff to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
Documentation: Maintain precise and thorough records of procedures, including patient data, equipment settings, and observations, in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Certification: Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred, along with any state-specific licensure requirements.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrophysiology or cardiac catheterization lab.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with EP lab equipment, fluoroscopy, and various monitoring systems; strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to different healthcare environments.
