Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) – Traveler

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to join our team as a traveler. In this role, you will provide essential laboratory services across various healthcare facilities, performing complex analyses and ensuring accurate diagnostic results that support patient care. As a traveling CLS, you will have the opportunity to explore different locations while utilizing your expertise in laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing: Perform a wide range of laboratory tests, including hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and immunology, following established protocols and quality standards.
Result Analysis: Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability, and correlate findings with clinical data to support diagnostic decisions.
Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures, troubleshooting any issues that arise and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, performing routine calibrations and troubleshooting technical issues as necessary.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory procedures, test results, and quality control data in accordance with facility protocols.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other laboratory staff, pathologists, and healthcare professionals to provide timely and effective laboratory services.
Patient Safety: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for staff and patients.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field; graduates from an accredited program are preferred.
Certification: Current certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a CLS in a clinical laboratory setting; travel experience is a plus but not required.
Technical Skills: Proficient in laboratory testing techniques and equipment, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to different healthcare environments and patient populations.
