Job Summary:
The Lab Assistant supports the laboratory team by preparing and organizing lab equipment, conducting routine tests, and maintaining accurate records of experiments. This role is essential for ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment in the lab.

Key Responsibilities:
Laboratory Support:

Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and instruments.
Assist in conducting experiments under the supervision of lab technicians or scientists.
Sample Preparation and Testing:

Collect, label, and store samples following established protocols.
Conduct basic tests and record observations.
Data Management:

Maintain detailed and accurate logs of experiments and test results.
Input data into laboratory management systems as required.
Equipment Maintenance:

Clean and sterilize lab equipment after use.
Perform routine maintenance and report any malfunctions or required repairs.
Safety Compliance:

Follow all laboratory safety procedures and guidelines.
Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory of lab supplies and equipment.
Assist in ordering and stocking lab materials.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a scientific field is preferred.
Experience in a laboratory setting is an advantage but not required.
Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, data entry).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:
Exposure to chemicals, biological samples, and lab equipment.
May require standing for long periods and lifting light to moderate weights.
