Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. The RN works closely with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families to develop and implement individualized care plans that enhance residents’ quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for residents in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor residents’ conditions, identify changes, and respond promptly to medical emergencies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
Provide leadership and supervision to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other nursing staff.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Educate residents and their families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in care planning meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Promote a positive and compassionate environment for residents and their families.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN).
Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience: Prior experience in long-term care, geriatrics, or a similar healthcare setting preferred.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
