Medical Physicist – Locum – Medical Physicist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Physicist to join our team on a locum basis. As a locum Medical Physicist, you will provide specialized expertise in the application of physics to medical imaging and radiation therapy. You will work with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety, optimal treatment outcomes, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct quality assurance and calibration of radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging equipment.
Develop, implement, and oversee radiation safety programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and technologists to design and verify patient treatment plans.
Perform equipment commissioning, acceptance testing, and regular maintenance checks.
Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to equipment performance and radiation dose delivery.
Provide education and training to clinical staff on safe practices and new technologies.
Stay updated on advancements in medical physics and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. in Medical Physics or a related field.
Certification by [American Board of Radiology (ABR), Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine (CCPM), or equivalent].
Proven experience in radiation oncology and/or diagnostic imaging environments.
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., ACR, NRC, FDA) and radiation safety guidelines.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and workflows.
