Job Summary:\n\nThe Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with physical impairments, disabilities, or movement dysfunctions. The PT designs and implements individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore function, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nEvaluate patients’ physical conditions and functional limitations to develop appropriate treatment plans.\nAdminister therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and assistive devices to improve strength, coordination, and mobility.\nMonitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary.\nEducate patients and caregivers on rehabilitation exercises, injury prevention, and mobility techniques.\nCollaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.\nEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations and standards.\nParticipate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary discussions on patient progress and discharge planning.\nProvide supervision and mentorship to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and rehabilitation aides.\n\nQualifications:\nEducation: Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.\nLicensure: Active and unencumbered Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.\nExperience: Experience in outpatient, inpatient, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings preferred.\nCertifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional specialty certifications are a plus.\n\nSkills & Competencies:\nStrong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple patients effectively.\nCompassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.\nProficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation practices.\n\nWork Environment:\nHealthcare facility setting with direct patient interaction.\nRequires frequent standing, walking, and assisting patients with mobility exercises.\nMay involve occasional lifting or transferring of patients with assistance.\nShift-based work schedule, including possible evenings, weekends, and holidays.
