Job Title: Travel Polysomnographer

Job Type: Contract / Temporary (Travel Assignment)

Location: Various locations across the country (travel required)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Polysomnographer to join our team as a travel staff member. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing overnight sleep studies to diagnose sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, and narcolepsy. This position requires the ability to travel to various healthcare facilities on a temporary basis, providing quality care and patient assessments in different settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform polysomnography (sleep studies) for patients in various clinical settings, including hospitals, sleep centers, and other healthcare facilities.
Set up and monitor patient sleep studies, ensuring proper electrode placement and equipment function.
Analyze and record sleep patterns, detecting any abnormalities and documenting the results.
Prepare reports on the findings of sleep studies for physicians and healthcare providers.
Educate patients on the procedure and assist with their comfort during the study.
Maintain and troubleshoot polysomnography equipment to ensure accurate readings and smooth operations.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
Provide accurate documentation and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Travel to different facilities as assigned, adapting to new environments and working conditions.
Qualifications:

Required: Certification as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT or equivalent).
Valid state license (if applicable).
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in performing polysomnography or sleep studies.
Proficient in interpreting sleep data and generating diagnostic reports.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare teams.
Ability to adapt to different clinical environments and work with diverse patient populations.
Comfortable with traveling on short notice and adapting to new locations and settings.
Preferred:

Previous experience in a travel role or working in multiple healthcare facilities.
Knowledge of advanced sleep study techniques and equipment.
Working Conditions:

Must be able to travel for extended periods.
Night shifts and weekend work may be required depending on the assignment.
Exposure to various healthcare settings and patient populations.
