Position Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The Nuclear Medicine Tech will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapeutic purposes, ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires technical expertise, precision, and strong patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Operate gamma cameras, PET, and SPECT imaging systems to capture high-quality images.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain accurate exposure records.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to evaluate imaging results.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment.
• Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
• Certification: NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification required.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine imaging preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in PET, SPECT, and gamma camera imaging techniques.
• Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments.
