ALL RTO requests must be in the packet at the time of submission. Anything sent after, will not be approved** Position Description: L&D RN. Every 3rd weekend is required. No on call or holiday requirements. Performs ultrasounds, fetal monitoring, noninvasive and invasive prenatal diagnosis and treatments, provide coordination of care to our high risk patients, collaborating with our pediatric specialists. Procedures and Protocols: Ivs, phlebotomy,EKGs, labor support, circulate in OR for c/s, tubals, D&Es and other surgical procedures, PCAs, AP/IP/PP care, newborn care. EMR: Epic, Cerner Bridge, GE Centricity, Pyxis. Required Upon Submission: 2 years of L&D experience is required. NRP is required at time of submission, Fetal Monitoring certification is highly preferred. Submission Packet must show # of beds, Trauma Level and EMR on their Work History or they will be dropped. MD/compact license is required for all submissions to be active, visible through nursys. COVID vaccine required. ONLY Medical Declination accepted, Must have signed and authorized documentation from Physician in packet or submission will be dropped. UMMS does not accept Religious Declinations. Flu Season has ended at UMMS and vaccines are no longer required. Manager to interview and offer.

If necessary critical care nurse will consult fetal monitors are Corometrics, in rooms and central, maternal monitors Respiratory available 24/7 for support ? Y ? N Anesthesia available 24/7 for support ? Y ? N Who manages ventilators: no vents Unit Specific Procedures and Protocols: (For example: Drips; Infusions; Phlebotomy; Starting IVs; EKGs; Transports; Weaning; Nebulizer to Inhaler; Starting IVs, performing venipuncture, Performing EKGs; Discontinuing sheaths) At risk include Pre-Eclampsia, multiples, transplant moms, cardiac and pulmonary moms, hemorrhagic disease, seizures, HIV+, substance abuse, NAB *neonate abstinence babies born to addicted moms* Attendings or Midwifes will apple FSE, IUPC. VBAC. C/Sections, Recovery of vaginal births and C/Section PACU. Unit does incompatible for life inductions. Midwives on staff, hydrotherapy used, peanut ball/bar, unit has 1 tubs. Baby Friendly facility with breast fdg. Initiatives. Nursery will do initial assessment on babies as needed. NICU attends at risk deliveries. Post-partum support with Lactation consultant, bereavement group, new mom/baby/family teaching. Primary C/S rate is 19%. RNs carry phones. Additional Unit Specific Information: Yes, we are practicing Baby Friendly. Hopefully will be designated next month. We do skin to skin at delivery if mom/baby stable for at least an hour. Baby stays with mom until transfer to Mother/Baby (2-3 hours)

Required Qualifications
Years of Experience: 2. Perm MD RN lic or compact state lic
BLS, NPR, FHM Certification
# of beds and trauma level listed after ever facility name noted in the Work History (going back three years).
COVID Documentation to be sent with the file
LD SCL and Reference within a year
RTO upon submission
50 mile radius rule
