Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin, UW Health University Hospital, for a thrilling 13-week assignment as a Registered Nurse in our Acute Medical and Progressive Care unit (D6/5). This evening/night role offers an excellent schedule of 36 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour shifts from 1900-0730, on an every other weekend rotation, with some holidays required. Nurses on D6/5 are trained to meet the needs of both general care and intermediate care (IMC) patients, specializing in caring for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including Cystic Fibrosis (CF), pulmonary hypertension (PH), and post-lung transplant. Your critical thinking, problem-solving, and desire to provide high-quality care will be utilized in this dynamic and collaborative setting. To qualify, you must have IMC experience, be open to working with non-ICU patients, and have transplant and trach care experience. You also need to have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years in an Academic Level 1 or 2 – Trauma Center. Must be certified in BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association. Please note, you must reside more than 50 miles from Madison to be eligible for this travel position.
